Like anything, turns out making something routine, however big or small, tends to erode it's impact. It kind of stops making it special. So this week I decided to stop. Stop doing an adventure for the sake of doing an adventure. Instead maybe stop and smell those roses.
All this to say, it made me realize that what had drawn me to 52 Firsts originally, was partially to reinvigorate my life, partially to live my best life and certainly to make the most of life. And, as much as the big moments - the sky diving and the first time getting up on stage - mark the chapters in life (and are totalllllly fun!), it's the small things; the little moments that thread it all together....and are so often overlooked.

It's always the little moments that make me the happiest, that bring me mostly into presence. Probably because I'm not focused on capturing the moments but just experiencing them. And so this week was about taking a breath and taking it all in! Here is to little firsts! Little moments!
This week I zoodled for the first time and turned yams into curly fries! That TOTALLY added excitement to my meal! #firsts!!
I babysat a friend's child. #firsts! Not without raiding the freezer for treats...throwback to highschool babysitting gigs! #retrofirsts! Pudgy little babies and lending a hand. #feelgoodfirsts!
Dinner on a patio (#2014first), at a new restaurant, with new friends in all their fabulousness, and 1/2price bottles of wine on Tuesday night. #betterthansexinthecityfirsts!
